Yes, serious thread.

I live in Florida, it is incredibly hot right now, and will only get hotter. I wear Hanes briefs, 100% cotton, horribly unbearable in hot weather.

I've been trying to find some affordable (I'd obviously want a few pairs, at least 7) boxers or briefs that are comfortable in the heat, something breathable. Athletic ones? I don't know, in stead of time consuming trial and error I thought I'd ask ATOT and see if any of you have any suggestions!

TIA :)

I live in FL as well, I wear boxers all the time. Still hot and your sack will stick to your leg but better then having the shit crunched up in briefs.

I wear Lululemon and Prodige polyester microfibre boxer briefs which are pretty good at wicking sweat.

Also helps if you rub baby powder on your sack and inner thighs after you shower and towel off (before you get dressed).

under armor synthetic boxer briefs are win. I work outside all year round, they keep my junk from swimming and keep everything separated. In winter its cotton all the way.

Are you new? Whiteys suck for FL. Boxers or even loose-ish boxer briefs here.

Commando is supposed to be awesome for here, but I gotta have something...

Champion boxer briefs from Costco (not the 100% cotton ones), they feel similar to the Under Armour stuff but much cheaper.

I'm sure any athletic synthetic underwear would work. The ones linked above are probably great. I got a pair of exofficio on sale - they're ridiculously nice. I can comfortably go on a 3 day backpacking trip with one pair.

The Champion & UA's are similar only in the fact both are underwear, the Champion ones are a lot cheaper in price. But the UA ones are way higher quality. I swear by their compression shorts, they're technically not underwear I suppose. But they're fff'ing awesome, the Heatgear ones are great for the summer. They keep my nutts completely dry even when it's 100+ outside. When I 1st saw them and the price, I don't know what pushed me to buy a pair. But it's all I buy now, they hold up very well and I believe are worth the $25-$30 a pair they cost. The ones I have on now I've had about a year, and they still look/feel new.

Maui here... I ditched the boxers altogether.

Commando...

I went like this for years. I finally got tired of getting my junk caught in the zipper, so I went back to boxers. The worst part is trying to unzip after the fact. No man should ever go through this!

I got some under armor hot gear because I was tired of hot sweaty balls on the golf course and hiking.

Best money ever spent. Cotton is da devil.
