The only reason I could imagine a woman coming here is for the attention...

Or if they found the link in their techie boyfriend's favorites folder.

Or if they mispelled something into a computer related term on google and wound up here...

j/k girls, I've met a few techie girls in my lifetime, but I've never met a woman who sees computers as a passion, as most ATOTers do. They see them as a means to an end... sort of how they generally view cars.

I'm not into computer games, but I do love stimulating conversations, oh yeah about the attention, when people post, they're drawing attention to their post so I think everyone wants attention.

Ha! I was really P/O'ed when I read the 1st 1/2 of your post.

I happen to be one of those women. I have the passion. I build them, repair them, upgrade them. I do hardware, software and small networking. I do not do it for a living but cause I LOVE it. Have been this was for over 12yrs. I am not that bothered about clothes or fashion, or what kind of car I drive. But computers, electronics and gadgets... I am hooked.

"Passion"? I need a pill to have "passion" building computers.

Even at work I leavea the desktops to desktop support. I only touch servers/network when I have to.

My fiancee does IT full-time (sys admin type stuff along with her manager) and really knows her stuff... but when she comes home... she never touches the thing. Well... just to look up recipes... but that's it. I find it pretty odd myself... she got her A+ cert a while back and couldn't care less. Split personality, I tell you.

Unwarranted vacation IMO. It was just a joke about there not really being any females on ATOT. fredtam deserves to be reinstated, unless there are other reasons for the vacation.

i like long walks on the beach...turn ons....overclocked processors, heatsinked RAM, and water cooling.
turn offs...unfiltered case fans, non aluminum cases, and run on sentences. haha
