I have an Archos Jukebox recorder of the 20 gig variety that uses a Male A to Male A USB cable to transfer data to and from the computer. I've look, but can't find a wiring schematic for the thing so that I can wire myself a cable to use at work.

A USB has 4 wires. Red Black White and Green. Then the Shield, both wire and foil.

So my question:

What Voltage is USB? Does it follow 12 Volt wiring schemes with red power and black ground?

And, finally, how do you wire a Male A to Male A? Is it

Red->Red
Black->Black
Green->White
White->Green

Assuming White Green are the transmission / recieve? I may be well out in left field, because I can't find anything dealing with USB wiring schematics and Male A to Male A wiring.

Ok, don't get me wrong, I bought a pair for $3.75 with $1 shipping. But I'm one of those idiots who likes to know how things work... I'm kinda anal that way.

So does USB use a dedicate circuit to transmit and one to receive, with the red being hot and the black being ground?
