Thanks

Been wanting a reciprocating saw....usually I research things to death ...but just went ahead and ordered it without much thought especially since the site said they only had 22...I know how Anandtech can create a stampede!!!!!Thanks danzig

the makita one is a great basic sawzall... its best feature is how light it is. great deal. only draw-back is no quick-release blade change...

Quick release would be nice, but I won't be changing out blade that much or using it alot. But it'll look good hanging off the "Village People" YMCA tool belt regardless.

Got my dad to order one also. My order number was 8 less than his. I ordered at 9:30am, he ordered at 11:30am.

Tool King has this saw for $79.00 or $85 shipped, but you can get 6% ebates from them. Not sure what price this was that danzig came up with, since the page is no longer there, $79 is prolly good enuff. But if you want to save a little more, Sears has one for $59. Its their Craftsman® 75th Anniversary reciprocating saw. Its basic, but that makita is pretty basic as well. The one from Sears includes a blow molded case and 3 blades to get you started. Sears also has a Craftsman® Professional Reciprocating saw with 5 blades, glasses, and gloves for $79.99 (might even be a quick change blade model).

Well there ya go, again not sure how this matched up to the orginal posters deal.
