Making triggers to be analog

Finally got around to ordering my own adapter and I got the newest XBCD drivers but I can't seem to get the left and right triggers to use an axis. I went into XBCD and assigned them from buttons to axis (Z- and RZ-, since the positive ones made it at 100%). Then calibrated in the windows utility. This seems to be what the FAQ says. After applying, in XBCD it shows up correctly. i.e. Both analog sticks have their own axis, as do the two triggers, rest are buttons. But when I try to calibrate they aren't assigned like that at all. In the game I tested, Live for Speed, neither were recognizing as analog movement, they were still buttons.
