Some of the outside black plastics aren't as dark as they used to be or have some small amounts of white paint on them.

How should I go about removing them? As for the paint, I was an idiot to let it get on some of it, but how can I remove it now? Is there any product that will blacken (word?) the plastics again?

Clean the plastics with an eraser (seriously). It is great at removing things like wax dried into the cracks and pores in the plastic. Then get some of that tire shine stuff, soak a rag in it and rub it into the plastics, let it sit a few minutes, then get a clean rag and wipe it off as best you can.

Save your money on those expensive products and buy some black Kiwi shoe polish, get the paste kind in the little tin.

Works great and it's cheap. Besides, you can always shine your shoes with the leftovers.
