I have a "standard" logitech 3-Button mouse and in win9x I had to do a registry trick to make the middle mouse button work as to double click for me(with a single click). However I just installed winXP and havn't been able to find any info on how to make to work yet. There's not options for it in the mouse configs/control panel. When I press it, it will select certain things like the address bar in netscape or diff apps/windows however it wont select icons or doubleclick! Anyway does anyone know a fix for this?

Yea I did... However just found out this info...

3.5 Detection of Serial Mice under Windows XP

MouseWare under Windows XP does not support pointing devices
connected to the serial port. This means that your serial
pointing device will only be supported by the native OS driver.
Serial devices will not show up in the MouseWare enhanced Mouse
Properties and you will not be able to program the buttons or
use any of the other features. If your pointing device
supports PS/2 mode, use the adapter provided and connect it to
the systems PS/2 mouse port if it has one.

Guess I'm off to buy an adapter now

An adapter?!? Dude, get a usb mouse! I can't believe you have an 1800+, Win XP, a nice KT3 Ultra, 512M of RAM..........and a serial mouse! :Q :Q

Do yourself a favor and get a nice, new optical usb mouse.

Betty will thank you. ;)
