Making my own lunch is costing more than eating out.

Ever since I started making my own meals and trying to eat "healthy" it's been killing my wallet. Spending a lot of money on food these days...

$7? What are you buying? I can buy $5 worth of lunchmeat, $2 worth of bread and have a week of lunch from that......

Well sheit you'd probably save money making a NORMAL sammich. Like pbj or turkey on white. Not full on meals like a nice pasta, etc. LOL!

I could say I had a filet mignon for lunch and I made it myself but I'm not saving money on lunch! LOL! Doesn't work that way y0. 😀

sandwiches are cheap, but when you add in drinks, condiments, chips/sides i think it does start upping the cost on eating at work. but even still i think its a cheaper means than eating out. and if you do it right, it can be quite healthy. I modified my diet and started exercising regularly and ive dropped about 15lbs in a month and a half.

it's hard to beat the price of fast food when you don't buy a soda or fries with the meal. not only in price but taste sometimes as well.

if only it were healthy i'd eat a lot more of it...

I just eat Subway. Tastes good, and shouldn't be unhealthy... no other costs besides sandwich, water is the ultimate beverage. =)

My $3.25 (damn TN 9.25% sales tax) meal: 2 Junior Bacon cheesburgers, 1 Cheesburger deluxe, 1 water.

Make extra with each dinner and freeze leftovers in lunch sized portions. There is no f'in way I make a lunch worth seven bucks for any member of my family. We eat well, and average 3 bucks per person per day for groceries.
