Making movies in UT2K3?

Is there a way to make movies in UT2K3..not demos but movies that i can put in to PowerPoint by use the game itself or an other app..
Thank you

I have wondered this too.... i know it can be done, because i've seen "music" videos using counterstrick footage, Quake 3, etc...

There are programs that can save the video output of a program/game as an AVI file but these typically hurt performance quite noticably. The best (and only example I know of) for this is Hypercam.

Most of the videos I have seen of UT2K3 before and after its release have either been taken with a camera filming a screen OR, in some cases of the better ones, possibly feeding the output of the graphics card TV/Video-out into a video capture card / tv card and recording it that way.
In terms of the tv-out -> video capture method, I doubt that could be done on the same computer using it to capture the video while the user plays UT2K3 as it would still take a large performance hit handling the video compression or the sheer size of uncompressed video, so it is more likely one computer is playing while another captures.

In that sense the quality of the output should be great, but the hassle enormous.

Its a shame the game engine cant be made to playback a recorded demo saving the frames into a video file at any specified frame rate no matter how long it would take to complete.
