Making Logos, etc.

Hey.

I'd like to get into designing logos and such... does anyone know what programs are used? Adobe Illustrator ?

And, are there any good books / tutorials on Logo Design?

u'd want to use any kind of vector illustration software. Adobe Illustrator has it, but Photoshop CS 2 has great features too
Macromedia Freehand is an all-vector application as well

Those are also some good tutorial sites that will get you started.
The best way to learn imho is to do a variety of tutorials and then just mess around with what you have learned over and over.
