Making life digital: DVR coming Friday, RoadRunner coming Saturday

Already have digital cable, but they're offering a sweet deal on the DVR box, which my wife jumped on (eep!? since when?). So not I'll be able to DVR the new Galactica series whilest my kids watch cartoons all day long.

Today she called to grab the RoadRunner 6 months @ $29.95 deal, which is what I'm paying for 768K/128K Verizon DSL right now. She asked (which I told her to) for self-install - to which the agent said there will be an installation fee of some $24. Umm, wasn't self install free? Oh well.

Now all I need is a HDTV and life will be good.
