When talking to another dude, I can't seem to make eye contact for more than 10 seconds straight without looking somewhere else. However, when talking to females, especially a hot chick, I have no problem just stareing at her when communicating. Anyone else does this or am I just weird?

I understand where you are coming from, and it's natural to break away eye contact especially when talking to another guy. But keep eye contact. Break off once in a while but keep eye contact. It shows you are interested. It shows you are confident.

If you can maintain eye contact with a girl, despite her very noticeable cleavage, then you'll get to examine that cleavage in much greater detail later. If she notices your eyes drifting down, and hasn't yet decided to ****** you, then she never will.

Eye contact = confidence and strength.

Maintaining eye contact with guys serves the same purpose - it projects power and confidence... as well as makes it easier for them to believe you, when you tell them that no, you weren't screwing their girlfriend on the stairs in her parents' house last friday night, after she told him she had to come home early.

That's funny because I get the habit of looking away even when talking to a guy friend. Sometimes when I even try to make eye contact without looking away, I notice they'll start looking away somewhere else. Then it starts getting uncomfortable just stareing at each other..

Yup.

yup you do that too or it's weird?

I do it too. I stare away from guys just because it's weird, but staring at a girl all the time... maybe trying to establish a connection through eyes or something.

So the Alpha male thinks stareing straight into another male's eye for a long period while communicating is confidence?

As long as you're not doing your "Make-out Face"... ya. If you can't tell the difference between staring and a simple display of confidence through eye-contact, then you're probably socially inept.

Pretty much. You looking away means you are afraid.

Look at dogs when the alpha looks at them, they look away.

As far as with women goes, I just try and keep eye contact to avoid looking down. Looking at cleavage is one thing, but looking at it while directly talking to the girl.... Well, it usually doesn't pan out too well :(

Confident eye contact is relaxed and attentive. Staring is tense and overbearing.

I only have a problem maintaining eye contact with someone with a lazy eye.

No, you are on the only one.

However hot or not, I don't maintain eye contact for more than 10 seconds. I ususally start staring at the floor or something.

If it really bugs you then learn to use peripheral vision. Then you can look em in the eye and stare at a wall or something.

if you don't make eye contact at least periodically it's like you aren't paying attention.

I keep eye contact in some situations. It's entertaining to see who breaks it off first.

I could only imagine a conversation with you. Staring for a dozen or so minutes, not really talking about anything. Then out of nowhere comes a trout-slap in the face. :Q

Guys don't make eye contact when they talk. Girls like to.
