I ripped a movie well over a year ago and now that I have a DVD burner (NEC 2510a), I'd like to make a DVD from the rip. It's under 4 GB of data. How do I go about this? Nero Ultra 6 reports that the files fail compliance for some reason. I can burn anyway, but figure it will fail. I could use a DVD+RW, I suppose, but thought I'd check here first. Can I use DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink or some other freeware program to burn a DVD with these files? My file names are thus:

vts_01.d2v
vts_01.idx
vts_01.lst
vts_01_0.ifo
vts_01_1.vob
vts_01_2.vob
vts_01_3.vob
vts_01_4.vob
vts_01_INFO.txt

Thanks!

You're missing some files and some files that are there don't belong there.
You need to rebuild the supporting files. Best thing to do is download IFOEdit.
Move all of the .vob files to a new directory and run IFOEdit.
Select create new IFO files (in ifoedit) and then point to the first .vob file in the set.
That should create all of the support files you need for the movie.
Then burn as a "DVD Video" in NERO or create an image and burn with DVDDecrypter.

Thanks!!! Very concise and to the point advice. Will do right now...

Cool, you can test it before burning by using PowerDVD

Probably a good idea, but this didn't occur to me. What I did instead was burn to a DVD+RW. I have 50 of them, and am not in danger of running short. If it plays OK in my DVD player I may burn it to DVD+R. It is a movie I'll want to keep for quite a while. Anyway, it's playing with PowerDVD OK from the DVD+RW. Thanks again! :)

Edit: Hmm. I bet you know the answer to this one: I have a few other movies I ripped with Smartripper that take up more space than 4.7 GB, so I figure I can't do the same with them. I figure I'll either have to compress them some with something like DVDShrink or use a DL disk. My NEC 2510a supports DL, but I don't have any (expensive, still I figure). Is there any other way? Thanks.
