She isn't really partial to anything in paticular, nor does she really dislike anything in paticular.

Something less common but still not a hassle to make would be preferable.

Let the suggestions come! Either a link to the recipe or a recipe posted would be nice too :)

that is what you have foodtv.com and epicurious.com for. I am sure they have many easy recipes right now for v-day (valentine's that is).

what about a roast? when you get good beef and don't over cook it, it can be wonderful, plus once you do it, its pretty much done. add some mashed potatoes and salad and a simple dessert like chocolate covered strawberries!
Or, do cast iron steaks with baked potatoes and roasted winter veggies... or roast a whole chicken with a pomegranate glaze.

Italian food is always romantic with a nice red wine. Maybe penne a la vodka or ravioli. You can make a nice salad with it too. I had some good Italian wine over the weekend too, Volpolicella and Montepulciano. Good stuff if you like wine!

4 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon coriander
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
