That's odd. lol. I guess it's like those people that keep tarantulas as pets.

What if you accidentally step on your cockroach or lie down over him? The guilt that pet owner must feel!

Yeah, let's take a bug the size of your hand and change it's envirnment so dramatically that in a few generations it adapts, while we're at it,let's try to stimulate it's intellect by teaching it tricks... shudder.. humans aren't very bright sometimes!

I have a ton of roaches in my house and a few in my room and as long as they do not start flying around as soon as I turn out the light, I don't have to get up and kill them. These are not the giant wingless type but I think they are pretty smart. These things live for many years and I think we have a mutual understanding because when they start getting hyper, they run into the other room. It seems once you swing at one, they know not to fly around near you anymore. So how do I know I am seeing the same ones over and over again over the years? Because some of them which I have hit are banged up and they do look unique.

Thankfully evolution has checks and balances.

Although if the mediterranean Caulerpa taxifolia debacleis any indication we should put a stop to this right now.

why do you care if people keep bugs as pets, do you disagree with people that have cats and dogs also? I take it you are a vegetarian? and nope, I don't have any bug pets.

I've always wanted to raise giant hissing cockroaches for no other reason than to sneak them into restaurants where I've received poor service :D

My friend's brother raises tarantulas... then he sells them for profit somewhere on the Internet. I wouldn't be surprised if it was eBay.

That's pretty cool. I know people raise orchid mantids too. Keeping insects and insect-like creatures as pets is nothing new. I think it would be cool to have a Goliath beetle. Look at the size of the grub:Q

yeah, i'm sure that was a human taught bahavior, taking a dump on people's face, and even if it was it is impressive.
