I just got a barebones machine from computer geeks that has an Intel CA810 motherboard in it. It runs fine with the Celeron II 566 (reports it as a Pentium 566 on bootup). This chip runs easily at 850mhz (100mhz fsb) on a BE6-2 with a abit slocket adapter. Is there anyway I can fool this motherboard into thinking this chip is a 100mhz fsb chip like we used to do for the orginal Celeron 300A chips by covering B21 with tape.
If not what programs like SoftFSB could I use. I tried my old copy of SoftFSB but it doesnt have this motherboard listed and not sure what timing chip is on this board.
I hate to see the potential in this chip go unused
