Making Calls from USA to Romania

I'm curious if anyone knows of any great specific services to call to Romania... the cheapest I have found thus far is about 10cents/minute to a cell phone, which is what I'd be calling. Just curious if anyone knows of another option.

Thanks

nothing like a mail order bride.

watch out as it's usually a setup by the mob to phish an American in using a european bride scam.

You know, maybe you shouldn't open your mouth if you don't have something intelligent to say...

Maybe the OP, like me, has friends and/or family in Romania... wouldn't that be the most likely scenario, rather the idiotic "phishing" ?

StepUp, 10 cents/minute is a good rate for cellphones. Out of curiosity, how much for landlines, and who's your provider?

Wow, didn't expect that response either Anita.

The landline rate I found was 2.1c/minute and this was just some google searching. I didn't bookmark the site, I'll have to look again.

Do I sense a hint of bitterness?

It just so happens that over the week-end I had some Romanian friends over... and indeed, they complained bitterly about their country (which is now a bona fide EU member state, by the way!) being perceived as a nation of gypsies, thieves and scam artists...

Generalizations FTW!

It could be worse... Could be albania.

Romania has problems, but thats how it goes. Although I still don't think RO & BG were ready for the EU, someone screwed that one up...

I guess they'll need to pull it out of your ass first to check the size.

Hopefully it's an item borrowed from the Shoebomber, and the fuse is lit upon insertion.

I guess next time I'll ask what immature generalizations we can make, and then maybe by reverse psychology, I'll get an answer to my question. :)
