I asked about this before and got no responses. I think your best bet would be to look for some type of cooking forums or something.

Buy some Franks Redhot sauce and mix melted butter with it. There is also a recipe on the back of the bottle

Try this:

1/2 cup Tobasco Sauce
1/4 lb. butter
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
1/2 cup ketchup

Melt it all together in a saucepan and dip your wings.

EDIT: Cook the wings first.

I second that. NYBW uses the same sauce IIRC :)

If you want the sauce to be good then you do.

equal parts hot sauce and butter work really well. Deep fry and coat with sauce.

DO NOT continually baste them on a grill. What you wind up doing is concentrating the saltiness of the hot sauce.

thanks everyone for the replies.

i just got back from the market. i bought 2 big bottles of Frank's Hot Sauce, a thing of butter, and 55 pieces of drumsticks. the cashier lady suggested that i call this 'hot legs', instead of buffalo wings. maybe i'll mix alm99 and HappyPuppy's suggestions, and use Frank's hot sauce, butter, and red pepper flakes. but additionally, i'm going to use this XXX hot sauce that is insanely hot.

Tobasco isn't at all spicy, it just tastes nasty, like V8. The only spicy ingredient in that is the red pepper flakes and 1 tablespoon to a cup isn't going to do anything.

Mix the butter with some Dave's Insanity and you might have something...

Dave's Insanity...... that thing is fire. When I first used it I had to throw out an entire dish, because I underestimated the power by a loooong shot. Good for marinades though, as it absorbs and spreads, and is less potent that way.

te wings and drumsticks ou will need to coat them with corn starch, then deepfry about 10 min. then toss with the room temp sauce.

there is a good recipe off of americastestkitchen. i dont know if it's on their site but they made buffalo wings this season.
