I just use windvd and play from a folder, the files play consecutively. If you burn an iso and mount it everytime you wanted to play it that would just be more work, I would think. Maybe I don't quite understand your question.

alright.... i have ripped the .VOB files for my DVD to my HD.... i want to play them from the hard drive... but i do not want to have to click on the next .VOB file when the one before it finishes... is there a way to string them together w/o having to burn the to a DVD and make an .ISO to mount.... and BTW, i have tried this "Use WinDVD and it will play them automatically" because they don't

Create a playlist in WinDVD? I've never tried VOBs, but it works with MPG & AVIs.

with power dvd I just rip the dvd to a folder

then open up power dvd select "open media files" browse to the folder then press select all.
It plays them in order.

I am not sure about windvd
