...a normal tv, nothing special. I'm just using Paintshop to create and image and need to know the resolution before i start making something. Thanks :)

nono, it asks for the Width, Height, AND the resolution (pixels per inch, which i guess is DPI)

Good, good :Q ;) As for the "other" resolution leave it a 72 dpi/pixels per inch

Assuming a 4:3 NTSC TV 720*480 w/72dpi will be fine, but it might like a little distorted unless you adjust for the whole square pixel/non-square pixel problem.

well it's definately 640x480 because it's a 4:3 ratio on the TV. I know 720 x 480 is also doable but I can't remember what it's for. I should really know this stuff seeing how i'm majoring in it

720*xxx is 4:3 NTSC Standard Def. I have the xxx because different formats have slightly different values, but you can't go wrong w/720*480.

erikiksaz, I would post how to adjust for the square/non-square pixels problem but PS has pampered w/it's presets so I can't remember how to do it manually. :( Have no fear though the distortion isn't too bad. I take that back, if you make the graphic 720*534 it shouldn't look distorted when viewed on your TV.
