Sure it can be done.

It probably will not save Money, and you will have an Unstable connection.

However since you did not provided any info about the nature of your current connection I can not give a more specific answer.

In order to plug the X-Box into the Laptop you need to get a regular PCMCIA NIC and plug it into the Laptop,

You plug the X-Box into it and then you have to configure a second NAT with ICS. Would it work solid with gaming? Probably Not.

You are better of spending few $$ more and get a Driverless Client Card (like the Linksys WET11).

So you have wireless internet access built into your laptop and you also have a rj45 jack as well - If you do and I am not a windows nerd - but I would think that you should be able to use one of the ports (wireless) to get on the internet and the other port (wired rj45) to connect to another machine or in your case an Xbox - but if you are going to do that you need to get a crossover cable if you are going to connect the xbox directly to the laptop if you are wanting to hook up other machines you would need to get a hub/switch/router a hub being the cheapest you can probably find one for 10 bucks these days. Just plug in the wired ethernet jack to the hub/switch/router's "internet/uplink" port and hook up the machines/Xboxes to the other ports and configure the xbox/computer to grab an ip off the laptop - Like I said I am not a windows nerd so I am not sure how ICS gives out IP's I would assume it's just DHCP - I have no idea you would have to mess around with it/google it.

Well. i figured out how to do it, for anyone that wants to know, if your using XP go to network setup, and run the network Wizard, and just read it, that will get you pointed in the right direction. if you have any questions about how to do this, e-mail me, or leave a post
