Making a slide show DVD?

Just went to a Birthday party for a 3 yr old today and took alot of pictures. Got home and thought maybe there would be a way to make a quick slideshow dvd (or something of that nature) so I could give the other parents. Anything you have personally used? Free and easy methods are greatly preferred.
