Terrorist! I wanna see the live size one the Navy will install in their future destroyers.

he's got more eyebrow coordination than I can manage.

If one coil gets it up to 16mph, ignoring drag, would extra coils of the same type increase the speed by 16 mph? So 10 coils would get it to 160 mph? Same force on the same mass should give you the same acceleration. hmm but if you already have velocity there's less time for that acceleration to act so I guess coils would be diminishing returns.

That's not a rail gun. In a rail gun the projectile or pusher is conductive and completes the circuit on two parallel rails and accelerates perpendicular to the rails under Lorentz force.

What's shown is just an electromagnetic linear accelerator or solenoid aka coil gun.

LOL that was hilarious. Totally jarring out at the part with the smoke. "Oh shit!"

Wonder what kind of voltage and current he was putting on there, never managed to get a single coil to throw something with that much force.

The car battery one was hilarious. As soon as I started the video the only thing I could think of when I saw the two batteries is "this wont end well". He's like the Bill Dance of science.
