Making a new pc (need help)

The Phenom 9650 will be a decent upgrade over your current 4400+, but a Phenom II processor (any of them) will be an even better upgrade. Get the 925, if you can, as it's the fastest chip your motherboard can officially support:

If you need to save money you should look at the triple core Phenom II 710 and 720. They are great chips and are huge improvements over the 4400+. And for 99% of the games they will give you the same performance as the 925.
 
ok ill do a search for some Phenom II's and let u guys know whats on offer,

sounds more and more like the maxcore 260 is the way to go, how much should i spend on it? (200AUS or less or more?)

also theres a 200ish dollar

Phenom II X4 Quad Core 810 CPU

which is only a little bit below the 920, is that worth geting since i can't find a cheapish 920?
