I have a dual monitor setup and want to be able to play games while maybe talking on an instant messenger without the game minimizing when I click the IM window.. Any ideas how this could be done? Basically something that would stop the game from minimizing would be sweet.
yeah but in FPS games it relies on the mouse being in the center of the screen. I wish you could goto the console and while in console be able to talk on AIM and such.
Well in BF2 for example I can get my mouse and go over to the next screen while ingame. Except obviously when I click that minimizes the game... so is this a idea that won't be able to happen?
I don't believe you'll ever get that done either. Does it to me with ATi and Nvidia. I'm figuring it's just a built in limitation with some games. You'd have to run in a window(those that can).
The other option is looking to features of the IM you use. I haven't messed with it but I'm pretty sure XFire has an optional ingame overlay -- chat box and such can be displayed with hot keys over the top of the still running, still full screen game.
