making a game - need ideas for a car to HIT

I need to make a game where i'm driving a car on screen (top view)

and have this "thing" float around the window.

what should i make this thing?


for ex. car = running people over.

but i don't want to use people.

i do need to animate it when the car "hitTest" the object.

i decided on an evil squirrel that explodes when i hit it...

thanks for inputs guys.

anyone have a good sound i can use for when the car hits the squirrel...a good dying sound...

Use the sound from the Nintendo game "Duck Hunt" - the sound that is made when you miss the duck. "Wah wah wah wah wah".
