Making a dvi cable

Have any of you guys had any experiance making your own dvi cable? I may have aj ob coming up where i need to get a dvi cable thru a 1 in conduit. Total length of the cable will be around 30 feet. In order to do this I would have to remove the dvi connector, pull my cable and re pin it after. I assume these connectors must be soldered. Any advice appreciated.
 
Just as an option - do you think an HDMI end would fit?

You could get a DVI to HDMI cable and then put an HDMI to DVI adapter on the end so it end up with DVI on both ends.
