Making a dvd from a camcorder

I am using Adobe Premiere Element 1.0. What kind of camcorder is it? Is it DV? I heard Pinnacle Studio Plus is good too but not as stable as Adobe. Pinnacle Studio Plus is only $29.95 now in a lot of place. I would say buy one and try it out since it is only $30.

Adobe here also..

import via firewire, it saves as AVI, output into DVD.

I'm using digital hi8.. getting DV next year

That would be because Studio 10 ships this month. V10 is based of the pro editor engine (and should change the 'stable' issue a bit). V10's Liquid Engine saves state 30 times a second, so I have never lost work (even on a CPU shutdown because of a loose heatsink.)

All things consider, Adobe, Sony's Vegas "light" version or Studio are great. There are about 4 other main consumer products (I can think of Ulead and Sonic).

My camcorder is a panasonic mini dv palmcorder. I bought a cable to connect it to the pc using a firewire connection. Is adobe the best and how much is the program???

Best is really a matter of personal choice. Each have their strengths and weaknesses. What is unstable for some, is rock solid for others and vice versa. The new Studio is probably the most advanced, but that will last about 6 months and be leapfrogged.

Wrong forum.
I would think so, but with video and video meaning two different things. And the video forum being the flamefest... 😉

Ahh, cut him a break. 😀

And hey, N0cmonkey for Mod...
