Making a clip with Acid Pro 5.0

I must be dumb or just a plain idiot, because I can't figure out how to take a clip out of an .avi file and save it to a separate file.

Anytime I use the selection tool it just selects the audio

Can anybody give me a brief tutorial on how i would accomplish this
