Making a big smoke bomb

From some comments I read online it didn't work for some people. Also don't think I'll be able to buy a fireworks fuse anywhere locally. Annnnd the potassium nitrate may be kinda hard to find. Anyone ever made one? Maybe there's something else easier I could make...

potassium nitrate you can get at asian or vietnamese markets aka saltpetre/saltpeter in little bags.

Back in the old days, making a smoke screen behind your car was real easy. Using any vacuum source from your engine, let it vacuum up some ATF (Automatic Transmission fluid) and it will cause a very large white smoke screen out the exhaust of your car.
