yeah, the ones where i believe you print in reverse then iron on to t-shirt.

from the sounds of the replies so far, they are not very good.

i got the HP ones and they worked for a day...then i washed the shirt...and yeah no more pattern 🙁

I was thinking of going to the Bush rally here with a t-shirt saying that "I joined Al-Qaeda and all I got was this lousy t-shirt". But then I remembered that this country doesn't have free speech anymore so I'll probably get my ass shot off.

yup, they start to tear off. not worth your time.
its better to get something made at a local shop instead, especially if you want it to last

i made one using HP paper i think. it was ok. its still on but mega faded. i think the key is to let it settle in for a couple days, then you can wash it on LOW heat to kinda "seal" it in.

Go to Michael's (or another craft shop). They have this funky type of glue/paste that you smear on the picture you want to transfer, wait a day, and then wash off the paper. It is a longer route but the glue backing is much smaller than the iron-on transfer (glue backing is the waxy stuff that doesn't have any print or image on it.)

I made one last week to go to Ooh La Latte for the Ms. Flims fund raiser. It was packed with a lot of clubbing, liberal, post-raver types who rant about all things conservative until you ask them for money 😉

My tshirt said (in typewriter font), "Your blog sucks." Most of them found it amusing except those few who think their on-line journals are sacrosanct.
😀

I used the Avery iron-ons, and they worked very well. Not as good as a pro-screened shirt, but it hasn't faded or peeled at all. You will get better results with a pro, though.

I made a couple waaay back in 98, still have 1 (lost the others) and while the colors aren't as sharp as they were, it's survived at the absolute least 50 washes. I made some more recently than that on I-can't-remember-what-kind-of-paper and they worked out well (but those ones were just black and white).
