you sure as h*ll ain't gonna 'cut costs'! how much do you value your time at? individual & unique is the correct attitude to approach a DIY case project with! just follow links to custom cases that others' have built, figure out which mods look 'right' to your own eyes, come up with a plan for action, commence buildin!
PS, it helps if you have a shop full of tools and skills that would pay you about 75K a year as a fabricator(if you could find an employer that appreciated those skills as much as you do!)
