Make Win2k behave

I use win2k as a secondary os, but would like to use as my primary os. The problem is when i use it the shows up on the network as a server, and the network admins don't like that. Is there a way to make win2k pro act as a dumb ol' workstation.

Yes, there are several ways to do it. First, you could hide the workstation/computer from the Network Browse list. It would still be accessible if you have File and Printer sharing turned on, but it would not show up in the browse list. To do that, go here: Regedit.com. If however, you wish to not share any resources at all, simply turn of File and Printer sharing on your network connection. The computer may show up in the Network Browser for up to 45 minutes after it is removed though. Let me know if this helps.
