make Toshiba DVD-R burn DVD+R as well?

I have a TOSHIBA DVD-R drive and my sister accidentally bought me 15 DVD+R disks last year, is there any way to make my drive use them?
 
Sorry. The first-gen DVD+RW drives promised DVD-R support with a simple firmware upgrade but it turned out that it wasn't possible. It was never thought possible for DVD-R drives to support DVD+RW with a firmware upgrade and is impossible.
