"Make no mistake . . . "

For some irrational reason, I hate the saying "Make no mistake." Seems as if more people are saying it.

Which basturd coined the phrase?

That one doesn't bother me nearly so much as 'you people.' When someone calls me and says, "I have a contract with you people...blah, blah, blah" I already know they're gonna be b!tching about something.

Make no mistake about it, more people are saying this. 😛

Don't forget "It's hard work".

People that use the "Make no mistake" also use "It's hard work" quite a bit too.

Puppets usually follow puppets.

Make no mistake. We must think outside the box to get the low hanging fruit.

LOL! You're joking right? Did someone really say 'low hanging fruit'?

Yep. It's one of those "I'm gonna repeat this stupid phrase in front of the boss so he'll think I'm a company man and promote me" phrases in my company.

like, duh?!

also, "this product is our bread and butter for the next 3 quarters..."

yup . low hanging fruit as opposed to "time constrained scenarios"

Two new words I have found in our documents (I'm the new MARCOM development manager at a start-up pharma):
"Impactful" - "Each product will be assesed for individual communication needs to ensure the correct message is delievered to the correct audience in the most efficient and impactful way.

"Deconflict" - "In setting up our departmental meeting, we hope to deconflict management directives."
🙁

I'd think the low hanging fruit would be easy to get, it's the stuff up high that you have to think outside the box for. 😉 Next time someone says that, throw a rock at him and yell "I got it!"

NOOOOO!!!! That brings back horrible memories. I used to hear that EVERY DAY at work. It made me sick.

That one doesnt bother me.
I hate it when some fvcker says "Trust me".
Anyone that feels he has to tell you this, isnt trustworthy. The more they say it, the more I wanna get away.
