Make netscape/opera/other compatible, or no?

It's my understanding that a very large (80-90%+) portion of internet users are viewing from Int-ar-net Explo-dar - so it draws me to this line of thought - should I code my page as to support other browsers (or look "good")? Currently it looks OK in other browsers but not now I want it to look. Click here for the site. The lines in between should look like they leaked in from the background - it shouldn't be a grey border thing... yet in Nutscrape/Opera and any Linux browser, they will look like that.

Should I take the time to figure out how to make it the same in all browsers, or should I just leave it and be happy that 90% of viewers see my website like this?

Thanks for your time.

Any particular reason you're using IE5? Please share.

I don't have Opera at the moment so I can't see what it looks like. Can you post a screenshot? I just want to make sure it's how I think it is. I'm uploading IE6 and Mozilla pics at the moment and will have a link in a sec.

Mozilla has grey lines, IE5.5 has the blue lines (like the background).

It's really not a big deal. I wouldn't have even noticed if you hadn't pointed it out. ;)

Well, do you want to stick to standards, or to MSFT's own, proprietary HTML and JS? Do you want to code in a sloppy manner or do you like standards-compliant code?

It's your choice.

I just want to know your opinion on whether it's worth spending the time so that 5-10% more people can view it like pic #1 instead of pic #2.

And also, how WOULD I make it look like that? It's a pain in the ass to see it not how I want it... grrr

No don't bother...the difference is so minor it doesn't really matter...
