I want to experience the original fallout again after long years of not enjoying it but I am turned off by experience with the old dated interface and the horrible resolution. Is there any way to improve graphics or the interface? A long shot but I will take any suggestions.

I went on a WoW sabbatical and replayed FO1&2. Ahhh Good times...

Here's on the the creepiest things I have ever heard:
On a discussion on how opened ended the gameplay is , someone stated that they completed the entire game without killing anyone, except for murdering all the children.

*shudder*

How does someone even THINK of that?!

It's Windows native. Always has been as far as I know.

Pretty sure fallout 1 had a DOS mode as well. At least, the wikipedia page says so, as do several other pages listing requirements. I think it was one of those games with dual modes.

I'm not sure if that's possible, don't you have to kill at least one grown up for the game to end? And how do you level up?

Whats more important? Graphics and pretty colors or gameplay.

Obviously its the first. So, dont replay FO1. You will be disappointed.

See, wasnt that simple?

I just checked. You're right, there was a DOS executable. I'll have to play around with it in DOSBox now.

In Fallout 1, it's just that mutant overlord guy at the end, and there may even be a way to talk him down, I'm not sure. I went in with lasers blazing :D

LOL

i just finished the whole 3 season of FallOut 1 2 and 3 before Xmas time last year.

i was feeling the blue of that game, and decided to install it, and played it all again

it was fun

and no the interface is fine as far as i'm concerned

no much different than the WarCraft 3 interface

Where did you get Fallout 3? Only seasons 1 and 2 of Fallout have been released.

Fall out 3 = Fall Out Tactics

it actually continues the storyline from FallOut 1+2 although now you are "you" and not the original hero of fall out 1+2

in fall out tactics there are a lot of references during the conversations and stuff you find in game, that reference back to fall out 1 and 2
