Please recommend 2-3 HSF's w/ fan controls for the above sockett 775 MB with these guidelines:

1) price not an issue...

2) As good cooling within the limitation of.... VERY EASY INSTALLATION...
I am NOT taking the MB out of the case to put a backplate on; and I have
large hands and fingers...

3) Not going for any world-record OC's...

Thx...

I don't think you can get much better for the price even if it is not an issue. Xigmatek S1283 and upgrade the fan. I have the Noctua.

Most Thermalright units are good. Zalman is a standard, but I don't like the noisy fan.

My two cents.

cndbum88 & guys...

Yup, that's the one I'm leaning to...Xigmatek S1283, and get a different fan...how 'bout the one below:

Yate Loon 120mm x 25mm Fan (D12SH-12)

Or, other specific fans...

thx

My case fans... 2 stock Lian-Li 120x25mm... lower-front and back-middle...

I just replaced the front stock Lian Li 120x25mm fan w/ the Papst # 4412 F/2GLL that I had sitting around... I don't notice a difference... core temp still around 55c. I feel I need to replace both the case fans with more powerful ones...

Recommendations?

Since this papst is a good fan, I'm delaying the inevitable......do need HSF for this E6600. Liking the Xigmatek S1283...w/ pushpins/no clamp on backside of MB...

For a cpu that already has a HSF and is in the MB, what is the protocol for doing this...Remove old HSF, leave cpu in slot, place thermal paste on HS, place it on cpu, then clamp...OR... do you know a link to somewhere that takes you thru this step-by-step?
