Make a USB drive a U3 drive?

I bought a 8GB USB drive and am toying w/the idea of making it a U3-type drive. Can this be done? Where do you get the software? Thanks.

You could always use PortableApps. They have lots of portable applications that you can run off your USB or just copy and paste them onto the desktop of the computer you're on and run the applications there so there will be little lag.

I run Firefox Portable off my Corsair Voyager 4GB. There's some lag, so I just copy and paste it to the computer I'm on, then I'm just copy it back into my USB before I leave.

Yeah I run PA on my 16GB Flash Voyager and the lag can be intense. I like it much better on my USB 2.5" hard drive, a hard drive can handle the hundreds of tiny writes, the flash memory can't.
