Make a new box for Z-340 sub?

Would it be useful to make a new box for my Logitech Z-340 sub? or is that a bad idea?

Heh... I was talking my friend through trying to take apart a z-640 sub over the phone, and from what he described it sounds like it's a driver facing back towards the amp and then the front is actually a passive radiator.

I could totally have this wrong, but over the phone it sounded like a pretty odd setup. (not that I'm an expert on sub internals)

Interesting...the one computer sub I've taken apart was a bandpass.

I imagine the Z340 would be a ported box...not too hard to build but I doubt you'd get much better results by making a new one
