Eh, a lot just depends on how you were raised. If his parents had taught him well, he wouldn't be wasting money like that. An M3 is sweet to be sure, but buying a car that costs >100% of your salary is just plain ridiculous. You can say its just a "one shot" or a "vice", but that financial mentality will be a part of his life, and it almost certainly won't stop with the car.
