The software below is FAR and I just finished doing this deal myself. Credit to FW...

Circuit City (B&M only) has TaxCut Deluxe FAR ($24.99 - $10 instant savings - $15.00 MIR) plus Microsoft Money Deluxe 2004 FAR ($59.99 - $20 instant savings - $40 MIR) plus TaxCut State ($24.95 - $24.95 MIR) plus H&R Block Deduction Pro ($19.99 - $19.99 MIR). Good through 1/17/2004.

1. The $10 CC MIR rebate form for TaxCut Deluxe will print at the register.
2. The $5.00 MIR for TaxCut Deluxe is in the box.
3. The rebate form for Money Deluxe 2004, TaxCut State and H&R Block DeductionPro are in the TaxCut Deluxe box.

Now, make $10.00 ($20 ?) !

4. There is a postcard for $10 cash (or one year of Money magazine for free) is in the Microsoft Money box. Send in the postcard enclosed in the Money Deluxe 2004 box in lieu of the Money magazine subscription for $10 cash. (Requires original receipt and page from MS Money booklet)

5. Additional $10 MIR with purchase of TaxCut Deluxe and Microsoft Money Deluxe 2004 from 1/11/2004 through 1/17/2004! This rebate requires original TaxCut logo and system requirements from bottom box flap (and says DO NOT SEND THE UPC from that flap) and copy of MS Money Deluxe 2004 UPC. This one probably won't work (see posts below).

Don't forget to download the Taxcut updates here: http://www.taxcut.com/updates/

As papaschtroumpf indicated, the PDF files states

Not valid in combination with any other TaxCut Deluxe rebate or discounts.

I suspect this is the same rebate that would be printing out at the store and probable requires the same proof of purchase.

Hey guys,

I'm gettin' too old for this sh!t--sent the rebate submission without making a copy of the Money2004 Deluxe barcode. Yep, I think I copied everything as the rebate form suggests, but I cannot find the damn thing now :-(

So if it's not a big deal, could you please e-mail me the scanned barcode to MH3023 AT Hotmail DOT com?

Thank you!

P.S. Somebody rated the M$ rebates as the most reliable ones (so hopefully I will not have to re-submit/will not need a copy at all). However, my paranoid part insits that the rebate will definitely get denied just because there's no backup. Please... help me out

Very nice WolverineGator ... thx for posting!

Your post if pretty clear, but this one is fairly complex (for me), so I had to draw it out in a little more detail.

In the end, I figure that I spent $100 and get $120 back ... less postage and time.

The available rebates include:

1) $40 Money & Tax Cut Deluxe combined rebate form
"Microsoft Money and Tax Cut product box tops with Name, Logo & UPC codes for Microsoft Money showing and Name Logo for Tax Cut showing"

2) $10 Money (in lieu of magazine) Rebate via included post card
"Original Microsoft Money sales receipt and original cover of enclosed booklet"

3) $10 Tax Cut Deluxe Circuit City Rebate
Circuit City rebate coupon and receipt copy print at the register

4) $5 Tax Cut Deluxe HR Block Rebate
"Original UPC bar code from box ... photocopies will not be accepted" Cut the box flap in two, the UPC code is for this rebate, the system requirements are for rebate #7 below

5) $25 Tax Cut State HR Block Rebate
"Original UPC bar code ... photocopies will not be accepted"

6) $20 Deduction Pro HR Block Rebate
"Original UPC bar code ... photocopies will not be accepted"

7) $10 Silver Bullet Rebate for TaxCut Deluxe & Microsoft Money Deluxe
"System Requirements from Tax Cut box and photocopy of Microsoft Money UPC/box bottom"

8) $20 Money Rebate This is the one that you don?t get, as it conflicts with #1 - both require original Microsoft Money box top/upc
"Enclose proof of purchase ... eligible proof of purchase is original product box top with UPC.

i was in staples earlier this week and i noticed that if u buy taxcut (any version), quicken basic is FAR. i thought that was weird since inuit makes both turbo tax and quicken making them taxcut's competitor...

If what you say is true, that is strange that intuit would bundle thier Quicken with HRB's Tax Cut ... unless they are setting up for the future. Get a user tied to Quicken and then get them to switch to Turbo Tax.

As I said, the probable rebates add up to $120, but there is a potential for $140.

So far (2/27) , I have received checks for 7 of the 8 totaling $120: (and the 8th isn't coming - #8 denied, as expected)
#1 @ $40
#2 @ $10
#3 @ $10
#4 @ $5
#5 @ $25
#6 @ $20
#7 @ $10

Curiously enough, I also received a denial for "Microsoft Money 2004 Rebate" but the information on the denial letter did not match any of the mailing addresses, department numbers or promotion id's of any of the rebates I sent in. I scanned in everything that I sent in for each of these rebates, so I know what I sent them, I'm just not sure which rebate is being disputed. I'm going to have to call on Monday to get more information. *2/26 EDIT: Obviously, having received all the rebates but #5 & #8, the denial was for #8. *2/27 EDIT: Final Update - In total, including tax I spent $106.75 on the software. I spent $2.96 for postage on the 8 rebates and probably another $1 each for each submission (copies, envelopes). So I made a couple of bucks, and got all of the free software.
