CC has the TDK 50 PACK 16X CDR $24.99-$15-$10=$0 free after rebate(model CDR80CB50T)(UPC 020356478964). And Compusa has the same model(CompUSA SKU: 2805690) for just $14.99 in the store. So you can go to CC and do PM with Compusa. And at last you get:

CC price: $24.99
-PM with Compuse $10
-CC rebate $15
-TDK rebete $10
----------------------
-$10.01

I just came back from my local CC and did that.
Good luck to everyone.:)

Great deal! Welcome to AT. I'll have to check this out. You can never have too many CD's (especially if you can make money off them ;) ) btw: since CC is advertising two rebates, I'm sure that both will work. I'll just have to check their PM policy.

edit: They are $4.99 after rebate and they won't PM to CompUSA over here unless it's an advertised price.

I think the word YMMV applied on this. Some CC claims that their price(after rebate) is lower so they won't PM.

Better idea - PM to target at $13. Make 2 bucks more. (repost of another thread)

By the way, these are Taiyo Yudens. They're free after rebate at CC.

<EDIT>

My pack was NOT TY. I'd like to know if anyone is finding that TDKs are. Made in Japan, though?

Price online says $29.99 with $25 in MIR. Folks, that's not free after MIR. Price is $4.99 after MIR.

Sunday ad says 24.99 - 10$ - 15$ = 4.99

It's a misprint, some people talked to managers and got them to honor the 24.99$ price. I just want them to pm target :)

My newspaper insert says "4.99 after rebates" then gives the math as "24.99-$10 MFR. Mail-in Rebate - $15 Circuit City Mail-in Rebate=4.99". Someone needs some math lessons.

CC had a deal like this once before I got in on. PM to Target, too.

Took 90 eighty minute CD-R's and made $30. Wonderful!

More info:
Limit 1 $15-rebate per customer. / Copy UPC required!
Limits 3 $10-rebate per customer / Original UPC required!

3 x $13 (pm against Target) + $3.22 (sales tax) = $42.22

$42.22 - $15 - $10 - $10 - $10 = -2.78 for 3 50pks @ Circuit City! That's what I did :p

Argh! All the threads are running together. This is turning into a repost of this thread.

If you're going to PM, PM to Target and please post in the other thread and let this one die. I want to see if anybody managed to get a PM at CC. My CC refused without a receipt which I'm about to get, then they'll refuse me :)

Where do you get 3 $10 rebates from?

Online the $10 rebate form says 1 rebate per person.

Did the printout read differently?

Are you using different names on the rebate form?

I think the 24x are relabeled from the 16x.
The 16x and 24x have the same UPC barcode, so they should be scanned out the same price. My local CC has both 16x and 24x. And both have the same rebate forms.

BTW, the pictures on both ads are the same (16x 50pk). So just show the clerk those 24x and 16x have the same UPC barcode.

I was just up at CC this afternoon and looked for the TDK 16X CDR 50 pack. An employee told me that CCs in the area don't carry that size. So, I got the 24X for $25 with two rebate printouts, one for $15 and another for $10.

I also purchased Picture It. Siince there was no rebate print out or a rebate form in the box, I put the issue before CS. It took about ten minutes of waiting; but I got $10 rebate in cash. :D

This morning my friend and I went all over SD trying to get this deal after we had picked up the morning paper. We first went to a CC where they wouldn't PM 'cause the TDK's listed in the Target ad were only "16X" (actually, it has 24 and 16 in there) So then I went and examined the CC ad, they had advertised 16X too... so like a smart-a$$ I went and pointed it out to the guy who wouldn't PM for me, and asked him if he could show me where the 16X ones were. He typed it up in the computer and found out that the 16X and the 24X were ringing up as the same thing. He still wouldn't PM me for the Target price 'cause they were actually "beating" the $13 by having the rebates. So I decided to point out their stupidity and ask "How does 25 - 10 - 15 = 4.99?" as well as "If I wanna buy more than one, how can I?" So after pissing off that manager, I went to another CC. I almost got the guy there to PM to target... he had called the back room for a "price adjustment" as his dumb colleague was rambling through their ad. When the co-worker had found the advertisement for the TDK's in their ad, they canceled my PM for the same reason as above. NO GOOD!!! Anyway, so my lesson to all of this? If I am gonna PM something at CC (or any other store as a matter of speaking) I am gonna get what I want, and run to the other side of the store, hope I catch and idiot (by themself), and PM it there nice and quick. Good luck!

jTek......(Mine said 32x on the package. Not Taiyo Yudens, though, Riteks. )

Was the 32X CD-Rs price marked on the shelf as free after rebate? And there did you buy them?
There may be diffent speeds for the free after rebates CD-Rs to diffent citys.
I would love to pick up some free TDK 32X CD-Rs in the L.A. area for the free 24X TDk burner I got last week.

I just got home from CC and I purchased the TDK 50 pack spindle of 32x for free after rebate. Price is 24.99 with a 10 and 15 rebate. One rebate asks for original UPC, the other asks for a copy.

I brought a Microcenter ad with me and was able to get CC to pricematch a 128 mb Simpletech Smartmedia card for 49.99. Saved me a drive across town. I live in Cincinnati.

The brand is call GQ.
Anyone use these CD-rs before?

<< I think the word YMMV applied on this. Some CC claims that their price(after rebate) is lower so they won't PM. >>

YMMV very much so! I went to 2 different CC's and my results were:

1) sales guy said he would PM, but wouldn't print the rebates, then I played dumb and asked why not...he didn't know so brought the manager over, then the manager said that he wouldn't PM at all

2) brought in the Target ad, and manager still wouldn't PM. he scrutinized the ad and even tho I was buying 50pk 80min TDK and Target ad showed 50pk 80min TDK, he said he couldn't because their computer listed the EXACT model number and the Target ad didn't show the EXACT model number

Makes me feel like CC's PM policies are just for show...good luck getting them to actually honor it!
