Major Winter Storm to hit Massachusetts on Monday February 9, 2015

Haha, I would watch him as a weatherman on TV.

In other news, aside from today's storm, we're also getting another half a foot on Thursday. Then it's going to be like zero degrees on Friday & Saturday. Awesome.

So dang sick of the white stuff, this is like the winters of 95-96, 77-78, and 68-69... except now I'm older. Snow days aren't as much fun when you aren't a kid anymore.

Send some of that cold air down here to Texas. I think it got up to 80 this weekend.

I'm so not looking forward to summer 🙁

This is on top of the previous 3ft+.

Some parts are getting hammered away this year. The east cost in particular. Our area (about 90 mins west of Toronto, give or take) has had a fantastic winter, as far as snow goes. Cold, but I've only shoveled three or four times.

Yeah, I'm right at that Hartford line...we have about 36" now, another 6" today, and another 6" coming Thursday, then it's going to be 0F for Fri/Sat/Sun. It's going to be like air hockey on the roads...

Nah, roads are fine in CT by 24 hours after any storm. They put so much salt down it doesn't matter how cold the air temps are.

The 6" snowfalls are nothing. But when they are over 16", it's a PITA. Getting very dangerous at intersections and even where driveways meet roads that there are too many blind spots, you can't see if any cars are coming.

I wanna say 50% of the people I work with didn't show up today, they all have a sub 20 mile commute

I drove 55 miles and it only took 10 min longer then normal and I had more snow

fing slackers

Nothing compared to the last two storms 30" then 24" and now another 24". Got nowhere to put the snow.

Yeah the snow in some parts of my front yard is over 7 feet deep right now. 4 feet of that fell naturally. The rest is a combination of drifting and what I have snow blowed off my driveway (which is ~130 feet long).

My 6 year old was outside this morning and climbed up on a pile of snow next to my neighbor's house, at which time he could easily touch my neighbor's roof (the edge of which is about 9.5 feet off the ground at that point).

This situation has gone from "kinda fun" to absolutely ridiculous. All I can say is that I hope we have a slow thaw. If it pops up to 50 degrees for a day or two there are going to be a crap ton of flooded basements in our area.

I was one of two people who actually made it to the office today.

No idea why, since the coast only got 2 inches of snow. After the two feet we got over the past two weeks, this is nothing.

I would like to think that this is the weather gods punishing New England for Inflategate. 🙂

Pile it on the golf courses or if inside Rt 128, in the bay

They used to dump it in the harbor, but the practice was banned by the EPA, IIRC. Some towns have applied for variances now because they have run out of room.

Boston defied the Almighty's will by preventing His chosen Wilson from getting his second Superbowl. They are now feeling His wrath. 🙂
