I just built that setup a little over 2 weeks ago, and this week I ordered more parts to upgrade with. I ordered a second stick of RAM, a new antec true 430 watt psu, and a pioneer 16x dvd rw... after i put all the new components in my system, everything booted fine... but i went to load cpu-z and i got all of these weird looking blocks on the screen scattered everywhere and the programs wouldnt load, then i restarted and windows itself wouldnt load, so i removed the new stick of ram figuring that was the problem and everything appeared to be fine... so i went to play UT2004 and i got the same problem, ut froze, i got a bunch of blocks on the screen, and it crashed... So after this i figured it may be the new psu, so i switched back to the old raidmax 420w psu that came with the case, and initially everything appeared to be fine, so i shut down and restarted a few times, and on about the 3rd time i got the weird lines and blocks everywhere on the screen... now im stumped... the ram i have in there was working fine before i tried to upgrade, as was the mobo and video card... what could be causing this? windows is loading fine but i get the visual corruption after i try to load a few programs... i really need help, i have no idea what else i should do, or what i should try to rma...

Is anything overclocked?

It sounds like it could the video card itself since you already tried a second PSU. Check if the fan is spinning, and see if the HSF is attached properly.

Can you try the video card in another system? Can you try a different video card in this system?

i can try a different card in this system, i have a ti4600 thats just sitting around... ill pop that in and see if that changes anything...

the hsf on the card is attached correctly, is it possible it could be an issue with sp2 by any chance or is that a long shot? i just installed sp2 the other day...
