Major Video Problem :: Leadtek Geforce 2

Hi.

One of my computer has a Leadtek Geforce2 graphics card. I have had it for about a year. Now I am experiencing something weird. The video card worded okay, but then a few hours ago I turned on my monitor and the picture was extremely dark. Something is definitely wrong. I can barely see white text.

Here is the system specs:

-Athlon 1000mhz
-Leadtek Geforce2 GTS/Ultra
-256 sdram
-ASUS mb
-Soundblaster !Live

The video card has been working great. Here is something weird. As mentioned, the picture is extremely dark. When I say dark, I mean this problem must be fixed. However, the only time the picture turns to normal is during the directx video test.

Is there a hardware problem?

Hi, I'm currently messing around with my new Radeon 8500 and a monitor I've never used before. While trying to solve some problems with dvd tv-out stuff my screen suddenly turned VERY dark -not completely black though. Suddenly it went back to normal while changing between tv-out on and off. Later on when all looked fine I noticed my monitor was reset to 60Hz so I changed it back to 75Hz and after a while I got the DARK picture again, just by chance I turned down monitor settings to 72Hz.. and no more dark picture!

Just a coincidence? I don't know, I might be way off.. but anything's worth trying when you're desperate
