Yes, wishing someone to die is on the same moral level as urging someone to steal. No matter what you wish, such a statement has no effect on JLGatsby's health. However, he trolls like this in every thread, and continuing to suborn theft only makes it that much worse.

Me having a thought is of no crime or lack of morality. Urging someone to steal only shows his character. You defending that only shows yours.

Agreed.

I could care-less about feeling honest or even being designated as an honest person. Money is money.
Maybe someday you'll discover that people don't like doing business with dishonest people.

UPDATE:: Well, Dell lied and screwed me over. The laptop battery is "in process" and won't be shipped for at least a couple days. Since I leave for Iraq in the morning, I won't get it in time.

If that weren't bad enough, the guy in India wasn't very helpful, but he did offer me a free printer, which I declined (have three, use two, no need). I asked for a manager, and he was a major prick. He basically said, "Sorry...wait." He didn't offer the printer again, and he offered NOTHING to make up for Dell screwing up. He couldn't tell me when the battery would be shipped, and he also said they couldn't mail it to me in Iraq because they can't export it (or something like that).

I was fuming so I asked for someone else, which he refused to do. Then, I asked for an address to send a complaint letter, and he refused to provide me with an address, saying there wasn't one (apparently, Dell is a virtual company!). I was livid, and I am thoroughly pissed at Dell right now.

I am going to write a complaint letter, and Dell isn't getting their projector back until I return from Iraq sometime around late May or June. If they ask, the projector shipment is "in progress". :| :| :| :|

You should have just kept the projector dude.

And that some people will kill you for being dishonest.

I don't have much love for outsourcing-multi-billion dollar companies. I would have kept it. It's not like they are going to refuse to send the other person another projector.

Hah, enjoy your short ass deployments. Air force? To bad you wont be there longer, I'm heading over in August.

Andrew, Dell is awesome, and you're the biggest fool I know.

They made a $1200 error in your favor.

Only on ATOT will you see someone complaining about paying $120 for a DLP projector.

I ended up getting a free computer from Dell after they totally screwed up my billing and didn't ship the monitor that was supposed to come with it - AFTER I contested the charge with my CC company. I even tried to call Dell and GIVE them money for the machine, but they didn't understand what I was trying to do.

Sorry to hear your situation didn't work out. Sucks that you tried to do the right thing and got nothing but a hassle for it.

Your mother makes the mistake of sending some guy a few K's. Now what? Do we just complain she was stupid and doesn't deserve her £££?

Blah blah blah blah. If your mother is Michael Dell, I doubt she would waste her breath on it.

Hmm I read this thread when it was created and I didn't think something like this would happen. That really sucks!

you're a fool for returning it. I would have just kept it and buy the battery elsewhere (there are other suppliers for laptop batteries other than buying it directly from DELL).

You've learned a great lesson in life today: Honesty is not the best policy. Welcome to the real world.

danny~!
