Major speed problem with mobo

i have this soyo motherboard This motherboard

and a P4 3ghz cpu, now in the bios it says the bus is at 200mhz, i cant change anything to make it faster, my computer is running like a friggin snail, can someone please help? the bios is AMI, someone said something about changing a multiplier, but i cant seem to find that option anywhere, any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot...

The bus is supposed to be at 200mhz, so that's not the problem, and you can't change a P4's multiplier.

Run CPU-Z and see what it says about your processor and memory.

200mhz quad pumped = 800mhz advertised bus speed.

200mhz X 15multi = 3000mhz = 3Ghz

ok maybe i just need a clean format, another question ive been having for a while, i get this little triangular yellow ! mark in my systray saying "write failed" once in a while, then all the sudden my F drive will dissapear all together until i reboot a few times, whats that all about?
