That's actually a photo of a Roadster, which looks a bit different than the other Sportsters of its time as well.

The Sportster has much more rear shock travel, a saddle height that's two inches taller, and less rake angle. Still, all of these bikes, including the new '48, use the same frame, as Jules noticed.
As for the OP's bike, it may very well be my favorite Harley of recent memory. It's a crying shame that they discontinued the model. I seriously considered one when I bought my Sporty, but decided that my typical drives weren't really that suited to a freeway cruiser like the Night Train.

damn, youre right hehe. i havent kept up on bikes for a long time, and ive never been interested in the sportster models at all. old customs ive liked when done a certain way, but for the most part i know nothing about sportys.
