Major problem with booting computer.....

Ok guys, I hope you can help me because my computer is really jacked up right now. When I boot up my computer, it is as if the monitor isn't even connected to the computer. I checked my monitor cable for bent pins and even tried using a different monitor but that didn't help. Next, I changed out my video card, but that still didn't solve the problem. The weird thing is that if I keep turning my computer on and off, eventually it will boot up, but not after at least 10 attempts to boot up. When I turn on the computer, the fans and drives seem to work, but I don't get any picture. When I can get my computer to work, it still freezes up during games. I suspect that it might be my power supply, or that maybe someone has messed with my bios. Any suggestions or ideas on how I can resolve this problem?

Thanx in Advance 🙂

P.S- anyone know what voltage I should run my cpu at? I have a 850 athlon with a K7 pro ATX IR3 motherboartd

what vid cards have you tried. if you've only tried the AGP slot, try a PCI vid card, that should tell you if something is wrong with your agp slot.

I tried a PCI card, but that didnt make any difference, as the computer would still not boot up, but thanx nonetheless 🙂
